About

Bio

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I’m a student at Ball State University. I’m a Mathematical Economics major hoping to pursue a career in the Marketing Research field. The last two summers I have interned at Strategic Marketing and Research and have acquired useful marketing research skills, such as SPSS. I absolutely love working with data and appreciate the value it holds in the business world today.

Social Media Marketing

In today’s world, social media marketing plays a large role in reaching current and potential consumers. One of the most fascinating aspects is the use of social media analytics in marketing research, specifically with Big Data. Within marketing research, one of my greatest interest is within consumer behavior and predictive analytics. Big Data gives marketing researchers the capability to reveal trends and patterns, which I find absolutely extraordinary.

Something Unique About Me

An interesting fact about me is that nobody knows what ethnicity I am. I have lived a life of racial ambiguity. It has gotten to the point where my friends have made a game of it, it’s called “Guess What Becky Is.” It’s interesting though, one day I read an article predicting what the average American would look like in the next 50 years, and all the pictures looked similar to me. hey predicted that within the next 50 years the average American will look racially ambiguous, meaning they will be a mix of different ethnicities. Now I would tell you what ethnicity I am, but where’s the fun in that?
